I have been debating a traditional yoga mat that rolls up vs a foldable one for a while. I am really glad I went with this option. This mat has a bit of cushion-just enough really. It won't interfere with movement but you can tell it's there. It has a great surface. It grips the floor so you the whole mat doesn't slide.

Pros: Good gripping; good length; foldable w/bag; no chemical smell. Cons: A wee bit thin. It is long and if you are tall this mat is for you. I like that it folds very easily for traveling. Most mats I have seen roll up, which works. BUT, since this folds up and a bag is provided, I find it much more convenient.
